VBLI 2010 Scholarship Program

Dear Player,

VBLI has established a scholarship fund that will award one scholarship to a player who will be attending college this fall and is accepted to a collegiate volleyball program.  

The number of scholarships may increase depending on the amount of sponsorships received and the number of teams entered during our scholarship tournament.

A portion of all of our sponsorship money and a percentage of all the entry fees will go directly into the scholarship fund.

Additionally, a portion of our proceeds for this year's tournament will be added to the fund for next year's scholarships.

To be eligible for one of the VBLI scholarship awards, a player must submit the “VBLI 2010 Scholarship Application” form in its entirety which can be downloaded in either PDF or Microsoft Word formats by clicking below:

VBLI 2010 Scholarship Program Rules, Regulations and Frequently Asked Questions:

1. The player apply for this scholarship must play in the VBLI scholarship tournament on Saturday 07/24/2010.

2. The deadline for submitting an application is July 21, 2010.  This will allow our scholarship committee ample time to review your application before our tournament date.  The scholarship recipients will be notified via email and phone by July 31, 2010.

3. Applicants must complete the application form in full and provide all required information, documents, and letters in order for their application to be considered.

4. The following must accompany the application:

  • A brief resume of your academic and athletic accomplishments; including any awards received related to volleyball.
  • A letter of recommendation from your current high school or club level coach.
  • College coaches name and contact information if you are planning to play volleyball in the fall.
  • Two (2) recent photographs (head and shoulder shots). 

 

It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all required information (photos, documents, and letters) are enclosed with the application, incomplete applications or applications postmarked after July 21, 2010 will be discarded .
